Worthy, J.D., Wayne County Prosecutor Wayne County handles 52% of all felony cases in Michigan and 64% of all serious felony cases that go to jury trial making it the busiest Prosecutor’s Offi ce in the state. Serving since 2004, Prosecutor Worthy received notoriety in 2008 after fi ling charges against Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. Another notable trial was the trial of Offi cers Budzyn and Nevers for the death of Malice Green. Worthy’s conviction rate was over 90%.
