Founded by Pope Julius II in the sixth century, Vatican Museums inside the Vatican City boasts some of the world’s most important art — from famous ancient sculptures like the Laocoon to Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel Ceiling and Raphael’s Transfi guration. The buildings themselves are spectacular too. With some 20,000 artworks on display there’s plenty to choose from! Wendy Evans will discuss some of her favorites.
