So many things change with our minds and bodies as we age, including how our senses process and react to incoming information. Marichelle Ehred, Physical Therapist and APTA Board
Certifi ed Geriatric Specialist with Beaumont Hospital, will help us make sense of the changes in our sensory processing system. The presentation will identify sensory changes (vision, hearing, touch, taste/smell, vestibular) that occur with aging. Marichelle will then discuss the implications that these sensory changes can have on aging and environmental adaptations that can be made to accommodate to these sensory changes in order to help reduce fall risk.
