Kevin Fite, Founder, Mentor & Former Teacher Fite has been teaching kids how to play chess for more than a decade after founding the Detroit City Chess Club. The Chess Club is the largest chess club in the city and likely the biggest scholastic club statewide, earning national recognition. For the students, chess has opened a world of possibilities that many of them would not have otherwise.
