Step into a story land of color and fun as we get ready for one of Detroit’s most anticipated holiday events, America’s Thanksgiving Parade®. Wonder through a wonderland of fantasy and floats. Marvel at the world’s largest collection of antique papier-mâché heads. See the Costume Department where our characters come to life. Meet award winning artisans who bring the magic to YOU! With many more characters turning up every day!

Next, enjoy you rincludeed lunch at Sindbad’s Restaurant located on the Detroit River. Sindbad’s has been a family owned restaurant for over 40 years. Enjoy the Sohar Room that overlooks the the Detroit River and Belle Isle. Meal choices include 1.Broiled Pork Chop (served with salad & baked potato); 2. Iceland Cod (lightly breaded and fried, served with salad & baked potato); 3. Broiled Chicken Breast (on a bed of pasta tossed with tomato basil sauce, served with salad, roll and potato). Please make your entree selection at time of registration.We will be unable to change your selection upon arrival at the restaurant. If you have any food allergies or specific dietary lifestyle needs, please let us know at registration so we can best accommodate your needs.

Finish off the day with a Detroit Opera House guided tour. See the magnificently restored Detroit Opera House, including backstage areas not accessible to the public. Learn about the history of the Detroit Opera House and its restoration. Meet the people behind the scenes, tour the stage and see how it operates.
