Barbara Heller, Director and Conservator - Special Projects, Detroit Institute of Arts 

Barbara Heller's presentation, “The Art of Conservation”, will delve into the ongoing scientific and scholarly research that lies at the heart of the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) Conservation and Curatorial activities. Barbara Heller has worked at the DIA since 1976. Hired as paintings conservator, she was promoted to chief conservator in 1985 and assumed her current position in 2009.
