Gary Piotrowicz, Deputy Managing Director Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC)
Deputy Managing Director and County Highway Engineer Gary Piotrowicz will present on the Road Commission’s leadership role in transportation safety. He will also address how RCOC is using the new road funding generated by the 2015 state road-funding package as well as discuss future road projects in the Birmingham area, including the 2020 reconstruction of Cranbrook Road between 14 Mile Road and Maple Road. The Road Commission has long been recognized for its leadership in the field of safety, which has caused Oakland County to move from having one of the highest traffi c-fatality rates in the state to the lowest over the last 40 years. Gary will explain how the Road Commission made this transition and, in the process, gained national recognition for its leadership in the field.
