THE ZIKA VIRUS: IT’S TRANSMISSION, SYMPTOMS, CONSEQUENCES & PREVENTION From the Wayne State University Division of Infectious Diseases, Dr. Rob Dhar MD and Associate Professor of Medicine, will focus on the basics of the Zika virus, its transmission, symptoms and consequences, as well as prevention. His presentation will be targeted to those interested in learning more about this virus, as well as those that may be concerned about travel to areas where it may be endemic. Dr. Dhar will also touch on viruses in addition to Zika that are also of concern, as well as how persons can be tested for these viruses.
