Pewabic Guided Tour & Lunch

Let Next take you to and from the Pewabic Art Studio. Your Pewabic docent will lead you through the past and present, beginning with a look at their historic exhibit, Journey of a Pioneering Spirit: The Life of Mary Chase Perry Stratton along with early Pewabic pieces in their Museum. You’ll also see the workings of today’s pottery with a walk through the Fabrication Studio, where you can watch Pewabic’s artisans create Pewabic wares from start to finish. Finally, you’ll have an opportunity to peruse the Gallery of Studio Artists, which contains the finest in contemporary ceramic work by over 70 North American artists. The tour will end with a visit to the gift shop. Next, we will head to lunch at Sinbads along the Detroit River. Please note, participants are responsible for the cost of lunch. Also, please note that this is slow paced WALKING TOUR and involves stairs. This facility is not handicap accessible.
