Birmingham jeweler Richard Grinstein explores the art of jewelry throughout history, with a particular emphasis on the Arts & Crafts Movement. The lecture will draw on examples of jewelry through the ages, examining them both as adornment and as an expression of art within the context of society and culture. Born and raised in Detroit, Richard studied metalsmithing at Cranbrook Academy of Art. He has been designing jewelry for his store as well as unique custom creations for nearly 40 years
