Detroit, once known as the Arsenal of Democracy, played a vital role in the Allies victory in World War II. Greg Sumner, professor and Chair of the Department of History at the University of Detroit Mercy, holds a PhD in history from Indiana University, and J.D. from Michigan Law School. He joins us to discuss his new book, “Detroit in World War II.” Dr. Sumner has twice been a visiting Fulbright lecturer at the University of Rome III. He is the author of "Unstuck in Time: A Journey through Kurt Vonnegut's Life and Novels,"
